Lend an ear to some of mi favorite themes in mp3 format. Recorded live or on studio, through different genres and with different musicians, it´s very easy to hear me play.

Title Descriptions
Rat Race

Recorded live throughout the Bob Marley Tribute at the José Félix Ribas Hall in the Teresa Carreño Theater. Irie and Mulato play together. Bass: Gonzalo Gonzalez. Trumpet and keyboards: Juan Marcos Millán. Saxophone: Carlos Panepinto and Alfredo Demey. Keyboards: Peter Newchew. Drums: Lerryns Hernández. The trumpet solo is amazing. Carlos Muñoz and Phaseaudio recorded it.
Circle of Birds

This joropo composed by master Emilio Mendoza was recorded at Lunacreciente Studios. Emilio plays the guitar as if it where a bandola. He is sided by Ike Lizardo in 12 string guitar and electric bass, Jesús Milano in the contrabass and Marcy Durán´s soprano voice The theme was recorded first with two guitars and then Emilio asked me to add some drums. By the end of all, Ozono Jazz was born, an ecological musical project that soon will hit the market...
I grieve

Also recorded in Lunacreciente Studios, this is a quite amusing pop-bolero song. I play the incomplete "son clave" and support the guitar array. The theme belongs to B6doce´s first musical production. Voice: Elinés Raymond. Guitars: Eili Esaa. Bass: Joan La Riva. Keyboards: Juan Marcos Millán. Throughout this theme I thrive to show the possibilities of the stick, an instrument seldom used in today’s musical scene.
Wake-up

Produced by Pablo Escalona, the theme belongs to my friend Alvaro, an Uruguayan that’s been living in Venezuela since long ago. It’s a rock song, packed with strength, sticky guitar riffs and a perfectly fit metal section. Alfaro’s interpretation is more than convincing, his accent makes one think that the song comes from the far south. At the end, there is an unexpected rap by DJ Ché before the chorus closes one of my favorite songs due to its powerful delivery.
I will be

The theme belongs to my great friend Jesús Enrique Hidalgo. Diany, a talented young Venezuelan artist, provides the voice. Victor and Pablo Escalona produced the song. To record once again a theme by Jesús Hidalgo was an honor for me, I had not done it since the first Urbanda album hit the streets in the late eighties. I will be is a ballad to its utmost
Fields Of Gold

From the CD Love is more than words, comes this theme in which I play minor percussion and flamenco box. Produced by Victor and Pablo Escalona the album is a sturdy selection of themes played on two guitars. Here, instead of playing traditional drums, I search for a more ethnic spirit slapping the flamenco box. This production has an airiness that’s quite fascinating.
Jimmy Cliff Medley

This medley forms part of a production that never hit the streets. The band Irie homage different reggae stars, including Mr. Jimmy Cliff. From his music sprung out the medley. Recorded at Larralde Studios in Caracas, Venezuela, by Miguel Angel Larralde, in the theme you will hear María Rivas sing the chorus, Julián Hernández and Roldán Peña play guitars, Gonzalo Gonzales on the bass, José Ramón Carranza over the keyboards and Yasenska Martinez leading the way with her voice. The song is a great approach of classic Jimmy Cliff.
The love I once lost

The theme comes from Mariajosé, one of my favorite Venezuelan singer-songwriter. It’s a beautiful ballad composed by her and produced by Victor Escalona at Lunacreciente  Studios. I play all along the song with metal brooms that make a very singular sound over the drums. Every voice comes out from Mariajosé and her marks on the last chorus are more than brilliant.
